Hi, I’m Nick Luetmer. I’m a professional freelance animator and artist specializing in 2D frame-by-frame animation. Adobe Flash is my preferred program, but I have dabbled in other 2D and 3D programs as well. I have a bachelor’s degree in animation from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Along with animation, I do all of my own video editing and sound design and enjoy learning new techniques and additional software to expand my skills.
Since I began learning in a class in middle school, 2D animation has been my passion. I started off animating just for myself. After some years of practice, I created my own YouTube channel, and began sharing my work with the world. My main source of inspiration for most of my shorts came from my other love – video games.
I did animations on a few different game franchises, but the ones centered around League of Legends characters saw the highest number of views. A Word from Nautilus was by far the most popular and is at almost 3 million views (thanks guys!).
I most enjoy working on my own content, the Guardian Series. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to release most of the story I have mapped out since each video is multiple minutes, and I do all of my own work including character animation, in-betweens, backgrounds, coloring, sound design and editing. I am constantly working on these videos in pieces around other commissioned works.
I have collaborated with the LORE channel most often, and have also done videos for a few other YouTubers as well. I stream daily Monday through Friday on Twitch, so follow me there to see the behind-the-scenes process and stay up to date on my work.
